Has anyone any ideas if this is Murano (as I suspect) and if so, if it is from a good factory, or just generic?
it is a really lovely bowl approx 5 ins 120 mm diameter. The way the aventurine shines over the large bubbles when seen from below is terrific.

Hi Lynne, it looks Barovier to me i think its gold leaf not Aventurine, real quality.possibly Zebratti? JP

Thanks JP - how lovely, I'll have a look at Barovier and Zebratti and see if I can match it up.

Lynne, i agree with johnphillip that it's definitely Murano, most probably Barovier and certainly gold as opposed to aventurine (copper?). i've seen a lot of these "swirl bowls", some called "zebrati/zebrato/zebrata" but i'm not certain what is the appropriate term and i've not seen one with the rich, gold bubbles incorporated - which i absolutely love!
