Title: Slim Stemmed Sticks — 1 — small amethyst candlestick

    • Amethyst candlestick, solid stem, inside cylindrical then quickly tapering off to a point like a reshaped epergne flute, fire-finished rim, no pontil mark.

    Stennett-Willson, Thrower, or who?   ... and which glassworks?   ... and date?   ... and pattern number/name?

    Hi Bernard,

    This small one is similar to Stennett-Willsons 'Sandringham' candlesticks but the sconce looks about twice the normal length? example below...

    I see all the others often on my travels and am pretty sure they're not Wedgwood...I've always thought they were modern lookalikes though cant recall seeing any with labels.

    I actually saw a boxed set of three at a bootsale last week like the ones in the center of your group photo. I had a look but there was no indication of who made them or where, just a plain box with fitted polystyrene liner....?
