Title: 2 large pieces need IDing
Post by: pooleandpaperweights on May 03, 2008, 06:42:32 PM
Brought these today for £5 at a small auction.  Red one reminds me of a Whitefriars piece, colour is right for ruby and pontil is right, just never seen the shape before and far from convinced it is.  Other piece is I assume pressed because of the ridges underneath it.  Lovely quality piece, classic smoked glass in colour.  I can put more pics up if needed!

Would love to confirm makers, dates etc.  Thanks all!

Ian

Should say, both are about 12" wide!

That red one is lovely.  The glass must be pretty thin toward the middle, eh?  It's got nice shading.

Theyll both pop up on ebay at some point soon.  Still after an ID for both though!
