Title: Could this glass goblet be Saint Louis?

Hello,

I have this lovely glass goblet in my collection. It measures 10 1/4 inches in height (rather large) with a nice pattern around the top rim - the inner rim has some wear to the gilding. The glass is not crystal clear and has a slight golden tint to it. I have always associated it was St Louis dating from aroundabout 1820.

Any thoughts anyone?

Hi

I think this pattern is a 'Moser' one made for most of the last 100 years (can't remember its name off hand)
-other major companies may have copied it too

This looks like a very similar or the same cut pattern, though the gold band is different.

Baldwin's Moser Artistic Glass shows a stem with this cutting and the same gold band.  It seems to be a slightly different version from yours - the foot's not cut and it doesn't have the three cuts just below the gold.  Pattern is "Splendid" and it's still in production, so you might be able to find it on their site.
