Title: Double identity
Post by: lyndhurst44 on May 31, 2008, 06:14:38 PM
Hi,
I bought this piece of pressed glass today and wondered if anyone could put a name to this chap's creater please and what it might have been used for. I had wondered if it ever had a lid but such is the smooth nature  of the lip I really don't think so. It stands at 4.5" tall.
Thanks.
Bryn

There appear to be variants made by various firms but I believe that mine and the one shown at the top of this topic by Bryn were made by Ravenhead as indicated in the original topic. The base is the same shape and texture pattern as a known drinking glass range made by Ravenhead (whose name I forget but I have a picture of somewhere!), and as a large manufacturer of machine-made glass Ravenhead could well have exported these all over the world, so finding them supplying a Tiki bar in Hawaii would be no great surprise.

Lancaster Colony seems to be one of manufacturers?
