I'm hoping someone here can identify a small dish I bought on eBay. When I first saw the photo of it I was sure we'd had one the same when I was a child, so I bought it. It arrived today, and it looks just the same as I remember except for the colour. This new dish has a distinct aqua colouring. The one I remember was green. (The flash on my camera changed the colour in the photos.)
The dish is just under three inches in length, just over two inches in width, and half an inch high. It glows under a UV light.
Any help would be much appreciated.

It looks to be a pin tray from a dressing table set. I have the same model in pink but have not found out who made it. Maybe try looking at pamela's site www.pressglas-pavillon.de

Thanks, Steven. I did so. She has it there under Unknown Maker. :(

I didn't notice it when I looked at www.pressglas-pavillon.de (http://www.pressglas-pavillon.de) yesterday, but the one displayed there is different to mine. The one on the website (number 03067, under Ashtrays, Unknown) has some sort of raised blob in the upper right corner. Mine is completely flat on the inside bottom.

See here (http://www.pressglas-pavillon.de/aschenbecher/03067.html) It's not impossible the design was used for an pin tray and then tweaked to give a matching ashtray

I agree with Christine. I think that White Rabbit's pintray and Pamela's ashtray are from the same set as well. It's not one I've manage to trace yet either.
