Title: Marked WMF ice bucket
Post by: deco.queen on June 15, 2008, 03:28:37 PM
Okay, here I go again calling something an ice bucket!  The glass is 6" tall and now I'm wondering if this was for bisquits and missing a lid.  The mark has a G under the WMF, does that ID something else?  Whatever you can tell me will be put inside this treasure for the future.  Love the Art Nouveau lines of this piece. Thanks for looking!

Mark dates around 1880-1925.

'G' probably stands for Germany.

WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) is a German company famous for their cutlery, etc.

Here is link for their English language website:  http://www.wmf.uk.com/startseite.asp?sid={8C128A6B-0733-42D3-8104-565809179FAF}&sp_id=12.
