Title: Any ideas on makers mark.

Can anyone help out with this mark, first part (to the left) is MTD second part(to the right) looks like  BV 1973.

Frank, the John airlie 1973 sig looked a bit dremeled or scratchy, so maybe it could be someones early sig.

Why are you always so quick to be negative Frank, this is a superb little vase. I once had a piece of Tiffany glass that looked just  as "Dremeled" as this does, if someone was to "dremel" a piece surely they would use a, instantly recognisable, mark. :spls:

It is a nice vase but the sig really spoils it IMHO. More an observation than being negative.
