Title: Royal brierley honeysuckle
Post by: Gill on June 20, 2008, 11:39:30 AM
Just a quickie!  Picked up some glasses today that looking at all the sites can't be anything but Royal Brierley Honeysuckle. However there is no acid mark. Is royal brierley stuff always marked or not? I seem to remember I asked a similar question before but can't find it now ::) Many thanks, Gill

Hi Gill,

No, in partcular, older Royal Brierley is generally not marked. As suggested by Sue most were labelled.

Labelling is a quicker process than marking the bases and would therefore be an overhead reduced for the manufacturer. Frustrating for collectors at a later date however

But then provides us with hours of fun as we try to decipher who made what when and in which colours  :chky:

Thankyou both very much, couldn't see that they could be anything else really, didn't want to diddle anyone though, makes me think about all the other relly good quality glasses I've seen without marks and haven't bought. As you say, all part of the fun!
