Title: Paul Ysart butterfly ?
Post by: tropdevin on July 11, 2008, 03:59:35 PM

This butterfly (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=2&campid=5335820906&toolid=10001&customid=&ext=290245133453&item=290245133453) looks very like one of Paul's to me....

Colours are a bit odd, perhaps just the pics. Did anyone else use red aventurine?

Hi Alan and Frank

The pontil mark show the typical Ysart radiating scratches. The weight is a
very similar design to the one shown in Bob Halls "Scottish paperweights" book P 31

Since it's in Canada, I might not bid on this unsigned Paul Ysart butterfly. ;D
