Is this a Holmegaard lamp please
-
Italian, as far as I know.
Although it *could* be by Holmegaard for a lighting company called Nordisk Solar, who did do glass table lamps with this kind of colour/finish. It's fairly easy to tell, though. Try to peer inside at the bulbholder - if it's Nordisk it will be a bakelite Edison screw bulb fitting, and around the inside rim of said fitting it will have 'Nordisk Solar Compagni' embossed in the bakelite. These fittings are very hard to replace for others, so if it's not there, it's likely not by Holmegaard.

But Italian is indeed the most likely, as many designs like this also poured out from there from the late 1960s onwards.

Thank you, I am trying to march it up with a light fitting which by the board have said is Italian, so probably a different colour, thanks, Sue
