Title: Green Vase with Applied Handles, Help with Maker!
Post by: Nancy128 on July 22, 2008, 04:06:16 PM
I've read somewhere that Dugan used to press-mold glass and then alter it a little while it was still hot.  I'm wondering if this green vase could be Dugan or is it just a weird little vase?  I can see 2 seam marks, but it does not carry through to the base.  It has a silver and gold iridescent and it's a little bit pitted.  It's about 6.5-inches tall.  Thanks for looking!!

Check out La Fiore from Mallorca. They do this type of quasi-roman vessel, with scavo pitted surface, thread decoration and slight iridescence.
