Title: Whitefriars Wave-Ribbed Tumbler Vase in Emerald
Post by: Pinkspoons on July 24, 2008, 04:49:23 PM
Picked up a small (6") 8473 wave-ribbed tumbler vase today, along with a Ruby 9570 Tricorn and a Kingfisher 9571 Teardrop vase. When I picked it up at first I wasn't sure if it was WF or not, because I didn't recognise the colour.... not dissimilar to green window glass... but I gave it a whirl because the rest of it looked 'right'. Got home, about 10 minutes ago (eager me!), to find that the colour is 'Emerald'.

Does anyone know when Emerald was introduced/discontinued? Photo to follow, once I've given it a scrub.

Hi,
Emerald is one of the rarer colours with a life starting circa 1931 and finishing circa 1940.

Regards ,
                  Patrick.

Oh, so a worthwhile purchase then!

Thanks so much for the information - will try to get an accompanying photograph tomorrow.
