His auctions are always an enjoyable view as they contain some of the best art in paperweights, they attract serious money too. A new Stankard sculptural piece would require a second mortgage. Here is one of the types that brought Stankard to the fore:

America certainly leads on Art weights.

I love Stankard's natural looking flowers. Not crazy about the ones with the little naked people in them.

Post by: glasstrufflehunter on August 04, 2008, 05:29:34 AM: His flowers look so real. They don't have that artificial 'perfect' look like in most other weights. Real flowers have some irregularity and asymmetry to them and he mimics this perfectly.

I love the color balance in his Pineland Pickerel Weed Bouquet.

He's definitely out of reach for me, Maybe some day. :)
