I have this decanter that is an old shape blank and heavy gold detailing. The base is cut, do you think this might be Baccarat? I haven't been able to find anything like this in the American Cut Glass catalogs.

I agree that it's highly likely it's French, though I dont know whether Baccarat or St. Louis or someone else. If it were American it would be Elegant rather than ABP, but I don't think it is. Looks familiar...I hope I'm not just repeating myself from a thread on the ebay PGP board!

Kristi, I did post this over on the PGP several weeks ago, but all I got were suggestions that it was Baccarat.
There is someone here on this board that has old Baccarat catalogs early 1900s that I was hoping for a link to see if my decanter was there.

Mine don't go back that far, but there are some reprints available.

Thanks Frank. I think I'm just going to throw it up on eBay and hope for the best.

Have a look here - I don't know if your piece is there, but it may lead you to more clues:

if you're looking for older Baccarat items you'll have to check the Launay & Hautin catalogues on the same site.
