Title: two drinking glasses for id please one with twirls ?other ruby bowl.

Sorry rubbish description no sure what it should be called
Anyway the ruby one is 7 3/4" tall
the other is 6 !/4" tall
Can anyone id them for me please

Hi Cazza,
tricky to id, tall one is a Hock glass, nice faceted  stem, probably Bohemian , possibly
Val St Lambert of Belgium who
make some nice Hock glasses, equally could be an English make, such as Royal Brierley, , i presume you have
checked closely for any marks, sometimes they can be very very hard to see.
The other wine glass with Airtwist stem , probably fairly modern English, made by a number of crystal companies.
It does look familiar, and i think its quite a common find.

Your long link is because you have done a search. If you chop it off at the end of item number it still works

thank you for the info. and he has no trouble does he... wonder if he is correct. the glass is very similar, i had already looked at the replacements val st lambert ones will check out the other one now. :-) I am now putting the spiral twist one to good use :-) Yum.

A maker of harlequin Hocks in some volume has been VEB Gehren of the former East Germany. I am informed that in more recent years makers in Romania and possibly other Eastern European nations have joined the club of manufacturers of these popular items.

to which may be added that the largest specialist in cut-to-clear is Ajka from Hungary - they do customer brands.

The airtwist glass looks like Stuart Arial to me.
