Ivo i am sure u would be able to direct me here...found these and am not sure whether they are from the period...thy have a small house with roof and hans under the roof.
-
as long as they are 18x18 cm (7") they should be correct. There seem to be various marks as these were sometimes supplied with fridges. Not sure how long they were in production. The originals have a triple lozenge or OOO mark.
-
Ivo thank u so much...now it can be put to rest!!

Hi Ivo and Norman,
Do we have an id for the mark on these?
These items were made by a number of companies, and it would appear that sizes were fairly uniform between manufacturers.
certainly Rosice made them, in the 18x18cm size amongst others.
Regards,
Marcus

Holmegaard also made them c.1957, as the Karré series, albeit with differing proportions.
-
I have this fridge box (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,6947.0.html), but that's about 23 cm long

Marcus, as far as I am informed, the triple lozenge Ivo mentioned also show V L G in them; i.e. Vereinigte Lausitzer Glashütten. This mark itself is said to have been designed by Wagenfeld too. :)
-
Other known makers of fridge boxes are Bagley and Orrefors. Perhaps we could produce a master list with photo examples and marks as a reference page?

the 3 Wagenfeld lozenges of circa 1935? can be seen here: http://www.glas-musterbuch.de/VLG-19xx.7.0.html :D
