Title: green lozenge jardiniere satinated
Post by: Ivo on September 03, 2008, 12:17:41 PM
Tough question this might be: lozenge shape jardiniere/ bowl, high Uranium content, inside opal layer, light iridescence all over; all edges carefully ground. Bottom ground and polished flat with a large ground out pontil mark in the middle. Sufficient soft scratch to obfuscate any signature that might have been there. It is not pressed - even if the shape looks vaguely Bagley-ish; there is not a single pressmark or seam in sight.  I'm thinking early 1900s Murano or Loetz - mainly based on the top quality. Really looking forward to what you have to say.

height 9 cm = 3.1/2 "
length 18,4 cm = 7.3/16"
width 10,7 cm= 4.5/16"
