Title: Unknown pitcher and tumblers
Post by: deco.queen on September 05, 2008, 04:00:21 PM
This [LINK REMOVED] is one of our unknowns and when I was looking at the Whitefriars catalogs I saw a tumbler M7 (page 67 of 1938) that looked very close to these.  Could this set be Whitefriars?  Thank you so much for looking!

Oh, sorry we don't have a picture of the bottom.  I guess it will stay an unknown.  Thanks for the help.

The colours are reminiscent of the sets of Astra glasses we've looked at previously. See here for an example: http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-10577

American companies offered the multicolored sets also but this shape has not shown up in any reference so I thought maybe it could be European.
