I have had these two little pots for about 6 years.
They look very alike until you look at them closely.
They are 2.25" high and 2.5" wide.
One is a slightly lighter green.
I think the lighter one is older.
The Darker one has 'Made in Taiwan' on the base!
Can anyone tell me what they are, and if either of them are really old?

I think this is a toothpick holder. I have a few in different colours but none are marked.
Boyd and Degenhart are American makers that have impressed makers marks and I think Harold Bennet made similar items circa 1978

I think its safe to say they are highly reproduced by different makers too. An ebay search for
gypsy pot toothpick holders will usually bring up these item. I have heard them called "witches pots" but gypsy pots seems the more popular term.

I have one that I had bought from Harold Bennett at Guernsey Glass, Cambridge, OH in the early 70's.

Antiques of the future maybe? Small and decorative - perfect collectible! I have also seen them advertised as victorian ring holders too.

I just liked the fact that one had 'Made in Taiwan' on it, and wondered how they had got hold of the pattern!
