Hello,
Could anyone help me shed some light on the maker of this smokey brown vase please and a possible date (please don't be Ikea 1999!) .
Measuring 8 1/2 inches in height it show wear to the base but does not have a pontil mark. Being chunky in design, it is rather heavy
Kind regards,
Wes

Based on colour and the rings, I would say Caithness.

Well-spotted TC, I think you're right. :)

Would appreciate some large views for Scotland's Glass, lots of work to be done on early Caithness. I cannot promise when it will go on but I would jump the queue with it if possible (see my Cafe post (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,22939.0.html))
