Title: Large dutch vase from the 30s?
Post by: acarius on September 22, 2008, 09:19:09 PM
Last weekend I acquired in Amsterdam the vase you can see in the attachment. I have been looking in internet but I couldn’t find any trace about it. The shape is quite similar to the "Alcyon" by W.J.Rozendaal. It is grey and about 24cm high. I will greatly appreciate any information about it. I couldn’t find any stamp or designer mark on it.

thanks!

Posting a better picture that shows the shape empty and a base shot will help get a response. Dutch expertise is available but might take a while. Not everyone is here every day/week/month etc.

Hi Acarius, and welcome to the board. Did you manage to take some better pictures?

I suspect that the design MAY be by Ida Falkenberg-Lieffrinck and date to the beginning of WW2.
When we get the new picture it'll be clearer...aren't those flowers wilted yet????
