A bit of a last-minute impulse buy on everyone's favourite auction site. The colours and satin finish are ringing bells in my head like crazy, but I can't for the life of me find anything similar in any of the usual places now that I have time to sit down and look.

I've tried dozens of searches for 1920s streaky and/or satin glass from WF, Webb, Walsh Walsh, S&W, and even Hartley Wood just to make sure I covered all of the English streaky-glass-makers with a 'W' in their name. But no result. Not even anything similar. Yet I know I've seen the colours somewhere before.
How frustrating. >:(

Why W?
I have a similar piece in blue and white, must be posted here somewhere. Packed away now though.

Why W?
I was just running with the coincidence that many of the most obvious English manufacturers for streaky glass have part of their name beginning with it. ;D
I'll have another search of the board for your post.

Hi,
Why are you going with British? They don't seem to be prompting me think of anything from the UK.

There's something about the colour combination that I'm instinctively linking with English glass - although my instincts are frequently wrong. I did cover my bases and hunt for Continental manufacturers too, to little avail.

Just wondering if it's likely that this vase hails from the same manufacturer as mine? Quality of finish look approximately the same...

...if so, just wondering if the combination of colours rings any bells.
Still waiting for mine to arrive, so can't comment on the actual quality of the glass. But I'm now veering towards Continental.
