Can anyone(probably Glen :D ) help with any kind of identification on two carnival bowls. There are no identification marks so I take it they are 'mongrels' and probably not very rare but I have had them a few years now and I like them.

The first one is predominately roses, and the second one berries both with leaves.

Another one from me which looks very new as there is no wear to base but was bought at a local antique fair! I wonder if someone had just been to town that day !!!!!
It is yellow cased white and some browny orangery swirls dropped in and two small clear glass handles. Have I been had (not for the first time)

Hi Doris - your first piece - the marigold bowl - is a Dugan item known as "Double Stem(med) Rose". They are fairly plentiful but lovely, nonetheless. It's an old Classic Carnival piece from the early era of production.
The second item is newer - made by the Indiana Glass Co., USA. It utilises an old pattern but is a new Carnival piece dating from circa the 1970s. It's known as "Loganberry".
The third piece isn't Carnival - so I'm off the hook. :wink:

The piece you didn't recognize was a schoolgirl error (allbeit an old one-girl I mean} I got carried away and didn't know how to delete it so I re-pasted it.
I have one carnival book but can never find anything I want in it most of which is Northwood!

Wow, that's quite a coincidence! :shock:
This is identical to one I couldn't identify and was going to ask you! Thought it was 'blackberry', which doesn't help :D
I've now seen the vase with the pattern on your site.

Hello "guest". The Indiana "Loganberry" also gets called "Blackberry" :shock: They are Contemporary Carnival Glass.
The "Loganberry" vase is a very different thing. It was made by Imperial in Classic Carnival and it's a sought after vase that goes for a lot of money (especially in the triple doped purple). Imperial did re-issue the pattern in later years, and they usually have the IG logo on the base (the Classic old ones usually have a multi rayed star on the base). Also the necks on the re-issues are ruffled.
