Hi, In Heacock's book "5000 open salts" he shows one in purple with a Fostoria lable. In the description he says 1940 and rare in color. He doesn't give a pattern name. I will have to dig in my Fostoria books but for now hope this helps. Terry

Interesting!  I only have one Fostoria book, and that
is Serving the American Table.
Let me know if you discover anything, you are sure
appreciated!

Hi, I did discover more. In the book "Fostoria Its first fifty years" by Hazel Marie Weatherman, it shows your "salt" which is listed actually as an individual almond. The pattern is called "Grape Leaf" Introduced in 1935 and Discontinued in 1942, but that is not to say that possibly it was reissued later. Colors to be found were Regal blue, Burgundy ( the purple in Heacock???) and Empire Green. Terry
