hello there!
i found rummaging in your galleries so very entertaining!
on that account i´ve started to post some of my favourite
pieces on GG, left open some depression glass you can
allready find on other well-known sites. ;)
my apologies for the lack of information given on the objects!
i´ve only just started and spent the last 1-2 years simply
collecting what i like.
perhaps i should start a new topic now and then with one of
the pieces?
having no one around here to share these pieces personally i
hope sharing them here virtually will be appreciated!

Are the spirals in the green bowl formed from bubbles?
-
The square footed salt is superb. Looks like circa 1850, either Belgium of England.
-
the pattern is formed by tiny silverish particles partially accompanied by bubbles.
they are close to the inward surface.
when i said i thought about posting a piece, this would have actually been the first.
i´ve seen them pop up on ebay germany thrice again since i bought mine, sometimes
described as leerdam (they should be signed then, shouldn´t they?) or WMF (don´t have
a reference for that either). last time i saw it there it was a clear version.
i think i read in a topic, you´ve got some 30´s WMF catalogues?

goedemiddag Ivo!
a bit large for a salt, i´d say. it´s diameter is 11,5 cm; height 10,5.
so rather a small centerpiece?
-
I'd say master salt to that.
-
;D ;D ;D
however, glad i was thinking the same way regarding the time.
is there an english term for the decoration, something like
"zweites rokoko" in german?
-
I am seriously jealous   Nice collection, well done
-
i´ll take that as a compliment! ;D
