I don't comment on live auctions, but this is too good to miss, so I'm breaking my own rule. Note the SP, just $1.00.

Nice to see Mervyn gets a mention.

And to think I let one escape some years ago on the St.Tropez antique market for 40 pounds because it was the first day of my holiday and was not going to drag it around.

I was fortunate enough to handle half a dozen (I think) of these while still in the Parkington collection. I must add that despite the wonderfulness of them that two very different pieces on the same shelf left them standing.

That is gorgeous! Looks like a sea bed. At the top of the water you can still see reds, then deep down they're filtered out and everything's blue. Thanks for pointing it out.

I adore Silveria.
Steve and I photographed a stunning Silveria vase in 2000 when we met the late Miss Elizabeth Robb, grand-daughter of Harry Northwood, in Wheeling, West Virginia. It's most likely that the vase was brought to the USA by Harry after one of his trips back to England.
You can see the vase that was owned by Harry Northwood on my page here (and also one in Broadfield House).

Sold for a remarkable price, obviously eBay still is a garage sale ::) I guess it will be in one of the big auctions before long!

Those are lovely, Glen. Wow, that's such a shame Ivo passed on one for 40 quid!
