I think this is coin, but can't find a good match. Warmans also said that Coin was only in clear and frosted. Anybody know anything about this one? It is 5 1/4 inches wide (not including the handles) and1 3/4" high. Where the circles join, the overlap is grooved out making an indent.

Doris, I've got the same in dark blue - no id so far, but thank you, yours reminds me of having photographed it finally sometimes for request!!

Hallo Jan, kannst Du DIESE bitte hochladen? oder hab ich sie auf meiner Seite bisher übersehen?
-
So you don't think that it is Coin either? Maybe someone else will know something.

This is bugging me because it looks so familiar, but I haven't been able to find it. I think it's probably American, but I could easily be wrong! I'll keep looking.
The coin patterns I know are [LINK REMOVED] Fostoria's and [LINK REMOVED] this type of "coin dot" pattern[/url] done by a few makers.
You might try asking in this forum: http://chataboutdg.com/. It's dedicated to American Depression and Elegant glass.
Doris, you live in a great part of Washington! Since I was a kid, WA has been my favorite state. I love the North Cascades and the Olympic Penninsula.

I love where I live also. I visited out here when I was 10 years old and decided that this is where I was going to live. When my youngest turned 18, this is where I ended up...with them tagging behind.
Thanks for the help. I will post on that board and see if they have any ideas. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Hi Doris,
This piece doesn't look like either of the Fostoria or Fenton coin dot patterns, and I wouldn't have described it as coin dot at all, myself. The handles, the thickness of the glass, the pattern and the fact that Pamela has one, suggests that it could just as easily be European as American. Keep an open mind.
Good luck!

I am very new at all of this and still learning all the detail stuff that goes with identifying glass, so I would have no idea that it could be European or American. Please explain what the differences would be so I can figure this out for the future. That is why I am asking on a board that has alot of experience.
-
The main reasons I suggested it was probably American were that not much European pressed glass like this is found in the US (with some exceptions), and if it were European it probably wouldn't look so familiar to me. Nothing to do with the glass itself, I'm afraid. I agree with Cathy that it doesn't look like a coin pattern.
I see that it's been identified on the other board as Anchor Hocking's Fairfield.

And here's [LINK REMOVED] the patent for it (first page).
