I can see why someone might think it is an old item, but I've let the seller of this item (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=2&campid=5335820906&toolid=10001&customid=&ext=220324124372&item=220324124372) know it is a Whitefriars weight.

I did too when it first popped up - was told in no uncertain terms that this style was most assuredly antique and had
so much wear to the base it had to be at least 100 years old - thus negating WF  ::)
