I know lots of makers used this daisy & button pattern, but can anyone pin this large pedestal bowl down please? I've just spotted FRANCE impressed on the underside of the base, which might help narrow things down. I'm not too sure how old it is as it doesn't seem to have any wear (but I know that that isn't always an indicator), and the glass is really bright and crystal like. So may be a repro???
Many thanks :)

My Mum has one just the same - they look super with fruit in Anne. I see to recall finding them in one of the Durand companies catalogues but I can't recall which one.

Not to worry Anne. I've googled Durand, and several names also come up, so I'll just keep looking.
I did spot one later on ebay that had sold for £1 :o ::) They stated that the top bowl was able to turn round. I've tried mine, but it doesn't move. It's a nice bowl though and ideal for fruit.

Bwaaahhh, memory failed me Anne, it was Duralex not Durand! I have a small bowl in the same pattern so I went and looked it up in my glass gallery (why didn't I do that earlier?! ::))
This is mine: http://yobunny.org.uk/gallery1/displayimage.php?pos=-675
"Marked on the base FRANCE, Made by Duralex, pattern = Luxhem, known as a Royal bowl, it was sold as an individual item or as part of a seven-piece fruit/salad set. Shown in the 2006 Duralex online catalogue."
Duralex went into receivership in May 2008 so the site (and catalogue) is now gone:

;D
Thanks t'other Anne. Great result.
I'm just surprised that it's so recent, although definately not 'modern' in style. It would be so easy to assume that its a vintage piece if you didn't know better ::) ;)

It's one of those patterns which has been made for quite a number of years and has been kept on being produced - some patterns have long long lifespans Anne. :)
