Title: Glass lady Help needed
Post by: momma on December 22, 2008, 06:55:49 AM
I need some help with this glass lady.
I have no idea if she is old or new.
Frosted or satin glass??
Her features are very angular.
Base is hollow & length is 7" or 17.7cm
Height to elbow is 6 1/4" or 15.8cm
Weight is 450g
The base isn't sitting flat ~ she wobbles.

She looks like new and made from resin.

My glass knowledge may be limited but she is definitely glass.
I tried to take some pics of some bruised areas but they are out of focus.
I'll try again later.

When I bought this ballerina (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,6003.msg51187.html#msg51187), the auction I missed was for a lady not unlike this. The dancer is much more detailed, but still, try turning yours over to see whether there's any sort of numbering.

I'd mistyped the number, not sure which one is right.

Sorry Momma. I bought a piece that looked similar to this one and it turned out to be resin.  It was hard to tell, even after I had it in my hands!  I stand corrected that yours is glass though.  :) :kissy:
