Title: How was this made? Northwood's pull up machine?

Here in the ebay PGP forum (http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?messageID=521284928&forumID=75&x#521284928) is a Stevens and Williams swirly bowl.  How was it made?  Was it with the same machine Northwood invented to make Osiris?  The machine and pattern are discussed in Hadjamach, pp. 280-283.
