Title: Heavyweight vase, Strombergshyttan\Gullaskruf\Kosta\Sea Glasbruk?
Post by: glassobsessed on January 01, 2009, 03:52:59 PM
Hi, I have been trying to work out who made this for too long now so it is time for some outside and more expert help.
This vase is toe crushingly heavy at over 3.3 kg (27 cm tall), has a concave base and the rim is thick and round in cross section.
Very faint 'swirls' can be seen in the glass of the base, looks like clear glass in clear glass if that makes any sense, difficult to describe and little luck so far in photographing them.
I would welcome any ideas, many thanks.

Bump.

Just noticed you can just see the faint swirls in the second photo. :D

Sorry, but if the 'swirls' are what I think they are - cords - then, though this might have come from a good factory, it could have been considered a 'second'

My thoughts too, after all it is unsigned.
