Title: Mystery Glasses Oiva Toikka and Fruit Embossed
Post by: bethsbargains on January 18, 2009, 01:22:10 AM
I have some stemware that is supposedly made by Oiva Toikka.  Does anyone know more about this such as the name and so forth...

Hi Beth,

The middle photo, with the stem, looks like Mukura, later called Paratiisi (Paradise), pattern 2195. Production 71–75, 1972 catalogue.
The design of the other two has some vague similarities to Flora but I've not seen not seen it before and would say probably not.

Hi Robbo - Thanks so much.  I couldn't find information anywhere.  Would you know by any chance if it was popular? I am guessing it was made while he was at Nuutajarvi.  Beth

Thanks.  I even found some for sale on a Swedish website.  Imagine that.  Beth
