I was just sorting out my glass (I have far too much!) and I have a few items that I bought for a few pennies, with the intention of using them - but I have no idea who they're made by , or even if they are identifiable? Number 3 in my list of UGIs is this glass vase?.
It's heavy and about 20 cms tall.
Any hints as to a maker (Though I'm thinking it's newish)

I'd sooner call it a beer glass. Try it - if it contains 20, 25 or 33 cl. it's a beer glass. And if it contains a pint it's a British one.
-
Could also be a celery vase
-
I tried Ivo!
But golly! - Its heavy empty - full of beer I'd be building muscles in my right arm

Celery is a good suggestion, Christine. The foot looks Throweresque, so could it be Dartingtonish?
-
Not Thrower, can't find it in Dartington Glass 1967-87, could be later. I'd forgotten the optic swirl was an FT thing
-
Dartington, FT309 ripple version of 'Regency Celery' made at 8" (20cm).

At least I was right about the celery :-[ (Note to self, take more time to look properly)

Thanks everyone, for the information and to Nigel for the ID - sad to say - I hate celery! Beers good though....
