Hi Brenda and welcome to the board. Can we have a shot of the base of the item as well please - this can often tell us useful things, along with some dimensions. And knowing where you are can also often be helpful - i.e. if you're in trhe USA or Europe or down under. You can add your location into your profile so it shows alongside your posts always. Thanks. :)

It looks like an ice bucket in traditional cut Bohemian crystal to me - either by Crystalex/ Bohemia or by one of the many other makers in this style.

Thanks for the reply.  The jar measures 6-1/2" tall x 6" in diameter without the lid.  attached is a pic of the bottom.  thanks, brenda

Because of all the wonderful help I believe my "ice bucket" is Bohemia "Pinwheel" pattern.  thanks so much to all.  brenda

Exactly, I agree with Ivo,
it almost surely comes from glassworks Bohemia Poděbrady (part of Crystalex group), Czechoslovakia. Dating is difficult, I would say 70tie or 80ties, cut is not rich as previous or later.

Can I ask for better photos?

Jindrich
