Interesting dog form (candy dish?). This little doggie has controlled bubbles and copper or gold (looks copper to me) throughout, and the interior of the solid head appears to be tiny little blue flowers all around. The dog measures about 6-1/4 tall, 7-1/4 long, and about 5-3/4 wide (measurements in inches). Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Kimberly

Apologies for that!

I see occasional attributions for the funny dog figures, but I am not sure if people know who made most of them. I have spent a good bit of time on a couple of similar figures, but did not come up with a satisfactory answer. Occasionally I see them attributed to Fratelli Toso, but there is nothing certain. I hope you are able to find who made your glass.

Anita, thank you for your reply. I've never come across this type of dog figure, so thank you for a place to start. Kimberly

I see that you listed it on eBay as Fratelli Toso. Were you able to find a reference?

After a bunch of researching I ended up going with your attributed suggestion. It had a lot of characteristics to your suggestion so I went with that. It didn't sell so one of two things happened; 1. the damages were too severe for people, 2. I mis-identified it. I tossed it out anyway since the damages may have been too bad for selling. It NOT selling kinda proved that. ;]

I did not have an attributed suggestion. There was nothing said that suggested this dog was Ftoso.

"Occasionally I see them attributed to Fratelli Toso, but there is nothing certain." Am I reading this wrong?

The sentence is out of context. Fortunately, the full text is above. The sentence referred to funny dogs in general and not your dog in particular. I don't see any point of continuing this talk. Conversation over.
