Title: Green Apple Paperweight, is it Whitefriars?

It's 3.25 inches wide and 2.25 inches high, without the stem. It has a flat base, bubbles all go in the same direction. Regarding quality, it's superb, almost edible in fact. :P

I have seen only a clear one on the internet so far.

Well, at least it will keep the doctor away.  ;)

So is there something i should be looking for, for it to be Whitefriars that is, maybe it's the wrong colour, wrong size?

I have seen the Jaffe Rose ones in Green, Flint and a Royal Blue.  W/F never made a green or Royal Blue one as far as I can see.   Emmi

PS I also think that the best way to ID these and get to "know" them is to handle one of each to compare the differences (or similarities) as photos are not always accurate.

Jaffe Rose was an importer. See this link to a thread (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,805.msg3935.html#msg3935) with some brief details of where their stock originated. A search in the board for "Jaffe" will bring up a few other threads, too.

Only the W/Fs pears have the crease it comes down from the stalk a tad less than one inch . the stalk looks wrong on that green apple and the green looks too bright .Ray made a few experimental apples with a small crease either side of the stalk but decided it looked to much like a plum , i am lucky enough to have one in Aqua and i have one of Ronnie Wilkinsons large apples with no bubbles he just made a few for friends Nashy has one as well.

This looks like a Mikasa Fruits of Life Apple Paperweight. Made in the
Czech Republic. Worth checking (czech-ing) out anyway!

Bubbles, it's probably by Mikasa thanks, the only difference i see is that mine is a lighter colour compared to this.... Mikasa weight (http://www.tias.com/cgi-bin/showcase-item.cgi?itemKey=3923497701&store=/stores/gloriastreasures)
