Title: Yellow cased bowls
Post by: chloe on February 07, 2009, 05:56:04 PM
Do these mean anything to anyone?  I bought them unseen from auction, and this is the catalogue photo so I've not much to go on at the moment.  They measure 4 1/2 inches across the top.  I assume finger bowls?  The catalogue dated them c1900 but that doesnt always mean anything!  I just liked them and they were quite cheap!

A small note - you can't upload other peoples' photographs without their explicit permission as it is a breach of copyright.

We would need to see actual photos, particularly the bases and the rims

Chloe, no, not even if they're referenced. If you get permission, then that's fine. In any case there's not enough detail in these, and I'm sure you could do better. It looks like the rims are polished - that might help nail it down.
