Title: Help ID Holmegaard (?) compote - ID probably WMF

This covered compote has a really great blue shade, I'm not sure how well it comes through in the pics.

The piece measures 11" high and 7" in diameter at the rim edge.

Solid ball finial and stem.  Fire polished edges, no pontil.

Very nice shape and colour, but it's not Holmegaard.

Possibly another Scandinavian glassworks, or perhaps Italian? It's not really my field, sorry.

I would guess WMF , circa 1968.

As always, thanks for your insight and expertise.

Are there any books out there or research materials available to purchase which focus on mid century WMF / German glass?  I am aware of the Carlo Burshell, Heinz Scheiffele book dealing with the earlier years.

Several years ago the press officer from WMF told me that after the war they never bothered to register who made what, who designed it and how long it was produced. I have glasses with the same foot as your covered dish (which I think was made for cotton wool balls on the dressing table) and I have seen my glasses in a WMF brochure from 1968.  I realise the evidence is a bit thin - but it is the best available.
