Title: Blue Pearline Creamer - who by?
Post by: mhgcgolfclub on February 15, 2009, 06:22:34 PM
Blue Pearline cream jug looks very like Davidson but not a pattern that looks familiar to me, the shape looks very Davidson , there are some swirls in the base which I have seen in Henry Greener pearline, height 5" or 12cm, I have checked for RD number, there looks to be a very faint number in the base but not 100% sure

thanks for looking Roy

Thanks Chris I thought I did not recognize it, I can only think  Davidson or Greener, not sure who else could of made it, the shape is very similar to one Davidson creamer

of all the Registered GREENER designs, only about 1/2 of them have been identified.  I think you have found yourself one of the unidentified pieces!

take a small piece of aluminum foil smaller than the bottom of the inner well and drop it down in there.  try to press firmly against the Rd. number and it will transfer.  Even if you are only able to get 2 or 3 numbers out of the six, it will be enough to go through the list and see where the numbers fall in the series.  two might not be enough, but if you can get 3 in a row, I bet I will be able to figure it out.  Let me know what you come up with!

Dave

I have just had another very close look inside the base and think there is no RD No just some unevenness, The more I look closely at the Jug I would agree Henry Greener, as I said in my first post there are some swirls inside the glass around the base, the same which I have seen in other Greener pearline pieces, also the glass just seem to have the Greener look, although the style does look more Davidson than any other Greener jug I have seen,

process of elimination says it's gotta be Greener.
