I have discovered that a little learning is a dangerous thing. I bought this because I thought it might be Whitefriars but now I'm pretty sure it isn't. Nine inches high and weighs two and a half pounds. Thought it was a vase but when I looked more carefully it has a pouring lip. The design is squares and rectangles with circles inside some of the squares as shown.

Just to confirm your hunch, this is definitely not Whitefriars. It's pressed glass and doesn't look to be of great quality, which perhaps will narrow your search?

I notice my post and that of JP has been deleted/moderated.............any particular reason? Maybe because I gave a link to www.whitefriars.com?
Seems very odd to me. Emmi

Emmi — A trifle grouchy this morning, aren't we? It's two WF lookalikes at once — you're getting confused.
You posted on the other one — Indentifcation Help - Unusal Whitefriars Vase (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,25173.0.html).
Easy mistake for a specialist to make, Emmi. :kissy:

I think this is recycled glass from Spain.
