Hi All
New to glass collecting, but VERY excited!
I bought this vase the other day because I liked it, I think this is a good way to start, buy what looks nice to you!
I'd like to know what it is and have found two others on ebay and both sellers say it's different things, one says
-60's SCANDINAVIAN glass Amber vase RIIHIMAKI by TAMARA ALADIN
the other
- HOLMEGAARD HOOPED VASE 10" TALL IN DARK RED DESIGNED BY OLAF PER LUTKEN AT HOLMEGAARD GLASSBRUK FENSMARK, DENMARK IN 1975.

If anyone could help me out would appreciate it :-)
Thanks

Hej Bellebo
Very nice vase, but I am sure that it is not Holmegaard, and without knowing I think it will turn out to be a Riihimaki, but I am sure some one else will help make a possitive id on the vase.

Thanks Peter, I have to say I was surprised to see it listed as Holmegaard.
I've checked my books I got out of the library but can't find a piccy of it.

That vase was made by Aseda and designed by Bo Borgstrom ;)
-
Thank you very much!!
Is there a good place to read about Aseda, it doesn't seem to be featured in my books very much..
-
Sooo nice to see it used as it should be , lets all do it . Why go down the local store and buy a new one .
-
LOL, sorry about that, I guess it's not really the done thing? :-[
It was a bit dirty from when I bought it and I had these gorgeous red tulips from valentines day and I looked at it and thought, you know what before I clean it up properly why not....
Promise I will clean and display when the tulips are done!
