Title: 1 of 3 Willie Manson/John Deacons paperweight, age/value?

Hi
   I was given this paperweight 12 years ago as a gift in Australia. Couple of years later I ended up showing it to Willie Manson on a trip to Scotland, and he confirmed that he made the pheasant design and John made the weight itself. There is a "J" signature cane below the pheasant but no other markings, any idea about age or possible value? (I’m looking to insure my collection)

I have had no luck finding out anymore about this paperweight. Any insights?

The J Glass cane suggests it was made between 1978 and 1983.  If it was mine I would insure it for £100 (that is insurance value, not current market value!).
