Title: Blue Glass Jug with Clear Handle
Post by: rbm6167 on September 18, 2005, 01:56:35 PM
I spotted this today and thought it might have been Scottish glass from the Monart/Vasart/Strathearn factories but a tour of the Ysartglass site has ruled this out.
Can anyone help me to identify the maker of this stylish jug which stands 6 inches tall to the tip of the spout and is 5 inches tall at the rear. I have included  picture of the base to help with the identification.
John :)

I feel I've seen this shape recently ...could it be Caithness ?
It looks quite recent production.

It is very similar in outline to the Whitefriars "beak" vase, especially with the slanted top. I must admit I hadn't thought of Caithness and will include that in my searches.
Thanks Peter. :)
