Pekkis

Please don't start new threads with this item.  If you wish to add photo's simply reply using the 'reply' button and add them that way.  Also, please don't start new topics in different forums for the same item.  We'll have a look at this item in Scandinavian Glass (where you first put it) and then if we get no joy, we'll move it over to Glass for you.  We're very organised here!   ;) :hiclp:

Thanks!   :)

Hello there  :)
I am living in Finland and I am trying to identify vases and bowls - the inheritance of my grand mother.

I know of a vase in this pattern, but have never seen the diabolo pitcher with handle. The one I know seems to be made in Italy (Videnza?), but it could be an older design - possibly Czech or Estern German. It would be 1960s or 1970s.

I'm glad Ivo said that - ever since I saw your jug I've thought it didn't look even remotely Scandinavian to me but didn't want to say so in case I was missing something obvious!  I was thinking possibly Czech or Sklo Union production also and the latter half of the 20th century...

Definitely Czech. Definitely Sklo Union. Designed by E. Downey. This pattern is documented in CGR from the 1950's.
