Post by: kieran on March 12, 2009, 12:09:57 PM
Hi, approx 4 inches high in streaky amber with bubbles,
thought it might be clutha glass from glasgow circa 1900
l found a piece of clutha 20 years ago and this is very similar
any thought very much appreciated
thanks kieran

Hi Kieran,

This looks wrong stylistically for Clutha - the handle for instance, the neck, and so on.

If anything, I think it is reletively recent in origin.

I am glad you said it Nigel i just thought  it , also a lot of Clutha has Avventurine or odd splashes of metalic inclusions or colour in the glass, the one on this thread could be that Verrier St Albans or the like .
