Just thought I'd show off my newest acquisition - a Davidson flower bowl and plinth patt.no. 1910M in matte black. The bowl measures 6½" in diameter. This is shown in Davidson's 1940 catalogue (from Davidson Glass - a history. Stewart & Stewart).
After a rummage in the garage I found what I think is the right size flower holder. Its marked 7830-1910 and measures approx. 3¼" diam. x 2½" high. How lucky is that! ;D
The bowl has what might be the original price pencilled underneath i.e. 5/6. The plinth is marked 2/3 in pencil on the base.

I've not seen any of the matt black anywhere except online before. Superb!

It is an impressive piece I must admit, although a little funereal looking if I'm totally honest IMHO ;D ;)
