Wondered if anyone had any ideas whom may of made the item, has a small polished pontil to the base but no marks for a maker there is some wear to the base so not made yesterday not seen anything anywhere the same.

Thanks for your information i had a funny feeling it might be stuarts glass as id seen something similar on ebay thankyou for the input!!!! :thup:

The decoration is stylised peacock tails (which we know thanks to Glen) and Stuart, Harrach, Richardsons and other companies all made similar pieces. See these threads for more - I don't know enough to distinguish them. Yours does resemble those on the Great Glass Site (http://www.great-glass.co.uk/library/lib2ab.htm).

Thanks cathy b loads of good information to study there its a difficult one to put a name too i think i will carry on doing my homework untill i find out more, Very interesting i was going to sell it on my dads antique stall in shrewsbury for £10-£15 i may of been letting it go a little too cheaply i think.dan :thup:
