Title: Glass smokers pipe unknown maker?

Having recently finding this site im having a field day trying to find out a little more on items ive bought since ive been into glass hope thats alright, This glass pipe is 9" long no nothing about it other than its quite fragile cant imagine someone using it to smoke never seen any the same before, Anybody know anything about them

If old it is likely to be a frigger, not so old a piece of lampwork/flamework (Lauscha etc.) glass will be very thin. If new, souvenir from a trip to an Amsterdam head-shop (http://www.debook.com/gifs/Mailsmoker.gif) thicker glass.

Thanks frank it is very fine almost weightless, What would a frigger be?etc..... the inside of the tube does have an inner pipe running the length of it inside the outer edge. :thup:

Frigger is defined here: http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/641831/whimsey-glass - friggers can include a whole range of items such as swords, walking sticks, top hats, and at Pilkington's World of Glass in Lancashire they have a raft of friggers including sailing ships and I seem to recall one of the Blackpool Tower there too.

Frigger is unlikely.
